Cocoon Club – FrankfurtIf you happen to be in Germany, particularly in Frankfurt am Main, pick a Saturday night, forget all the work, studies and other reasons why you have come to Germany, gather up your crew, take 17 euros for the entrance ticket and hit the Cocoon Club – one of the biggest, most fashionable clubs in Germany and even all of Europe.

The Cocoon Club has its branches in such partying centers as Ibiza or London. But the one in Frankfurt definitely exhibits the accumulation of all the greatness of typical German night life. As soon as you enter the club, it strikes your eye with its totally unique, modern and futuristic-cosmic design. Wherever you choose to take a sit — in one of the two restaurants, one of the three bars or right beside the dance floor — you will be quite shocked with how the interior is laid out to ensure you have a breathtaking night and an overwhelming experience of fun.

Everything here is made for your amusement — huge bars with an unbelievable assortment of drinks and highly professional (and amazingly cute) bartenders. The people are glamorous but at the same time simple and friendly all around,  so you will never feel alone there even if you have entered the club without any escort. You will leave the Cocoon Club though a little bit tipsy (I tell you, you won’t be able to hold back from trying something new) but with a couple of new pals and a plenty of new and wonderful impressions.

What about the music? No problem — the best DJs and music makers from all over the world, including David Guetta, Bob Sinclaire and others are there. DJ Sven Vath with his rocking sets and the crazy Ministry of Sound will keep you up the whole night and you won’t ever want to leave.

Among the upcoming events I will note particularly the night with the Ministry of Sound on the 13th of August and with the handsome Lovelace Sven Vath on the 20th. So if you are still not in Frankfurt, get a flight! If you are, hail a cab and tell the driver the address — Carl Benz St. 11, Cocoon Club.

If you are going on holiday to Frankfurt, I can recommend visiting the Paulskirche, it became famous as an important meeting place. Built to replace the Barfüßerkirche (Church of the Barefooted), it was opened in 1833, the construction work began in 1789. The first freely-elected German parliament sat there in 1848. Destroyed in an air-raid in 1944, the church was rebuilt in 1947/48 as a memorial to the horrors of war. The simple hall now provides a venue for important events such as the annual German Peace Prize ceremony and the City of Frankfurt’s Goethepreis awards. Both are dedicated to civil rights.
