Nepal Discovering An Unusual Land

Nepal, which is one of the most popular travel destinations today, is a South Asian country with a completely different way of life and customs from the rest of the world.

Even Nepal’s calendar system is different; festival days are celebrated according to the lunar calendar. They also have a fifth one, the monsoon, the period of seasonal change.

Nepal tourism attracts and repulses foreign visitors. The country can be both intoxicating and amazing.

Those who would like to experience new adventures discover the magic of the middle ages and choose Nepal, get a shock just after landing in the airport. The smells, crazy traffic, tiger balm sellers and trekking touts immediately grasp your attention. However, in the backstreets, the amazing temples reveal the cultural heritage of the nation. Besides, you can be present at their festivals which are pretty many and discover the kind heart of this old nation.

Nepal cannot offer the luxurious resorts, fancy hotels and malls that tourists are used to. Instead they can follow their adrenaline rush by climbing Mt. Everest — the pride of the Nepali people.

Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal. As every developing country, the problem of air pollution is urgent in the capital. The traffic is annoying. The vehicles are old and don’t work properly.

Before you go on a trip to Nepal leave all your jewelry and expensive clothes at home, as you will more likely return home without them.

Nevertheless, your trip will end without any unpleasant incidents if you don’t get separated from the tour group with an experienced guide who speaks both English and Nepali. You will leave Nepal with pleasant impressions about Nepal with another trip in mind.

I will say, Nepal is undoubtedly the most happening place on earth – literally.

People uprooted the monarchy, which had been ruling the country for over 240 years. There were 14 years of war in the country prior. The country is in transition and one can experience changes everywhere you look.

All this should be a treat to visitors who plan to come to the country on visit nepal 2011 campaign.
