exploring tuscany Exploring TuscanyHave you ever visited Tuscany? If yes, then I believe you have a strong desire to return there again. I have just returned from there and I am willing to share my impressions with you.

Tuscany is really worth visiting. I advise you to travel there especially in spring, summer or autumn; the landscape is wonderful at that time of  year.

People come to Tuscany to admire its fine art, to explore the marvelous countryside, the mountain paths, the rolling hills, the sea coast and islands and enjoy simple but at the same time wonderful cuisine and wine.

Particularly I was attracted by the leaning tower of Pisa which is alternatively called campanile or the bell tower. It is constructed of white marble and its  height is 55.86 m (183.27 ft) from the ground. I reached the top of the Pisa tower by climbing the 294 steps rising in spiral form on the inner side of the tower walls.

The construction of the tower started in 1174 by Bonanno Pisano. When the tower had reached its third story the work ceased because it started to lean. The tower remained thus for 90 years and then was completed by Giovanni di Simone and Tommano Simone.

My Tuscany travel wasn’t limited merely to Pisa, as I also payed a visit to Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, Siena, Cortona, Lucca, Val d’Orcia and Maremma. I selected a guided tour to visit all these places.

Tuscany tours cover  day tours,  bike tours, walking tours,  balloon rides, art excursions, shopping sprees, gastronomical tours, wine tours and so forth.

My Tuscany travel was successful and memorable.

I came to stay a couple of months and… I live in Florence for almost 5 years. :)
