Places To Visit In Rio De Janeiro
Whenever I want to get away from my daily activities and cares I pack my things and set off for some country. Traveling has become an inseparable part of my life.
Now it’s time to think of a travel destination. I am exhausted since it’s difficult to work full time for 10 months without a vacation.
This time I’ll probably set off to Rio De Janeiro since I have been long dreaming to visit it. Generally before setting off to a particular destination I get information about it. I do online searches to find out where to go and how to spend my time.
So I have singled out the following places which I intend to visit when I am in Rio De Janeiro.
I intend to get to the largest Art Deco statue in the world, Christ the Redeemer. The statue of Christ The Redeemer stands at the top of Corcovado Mountain. The statue is the symbol of Brazil’s Christianity. It weighs 635 tons, the height is 39.6 meters and the width is 30 meters. It is possible to climb up the mountain by train, elevators or escalators. From there you can view the city and the surrounding bay.
I’ll also visit the Forest of Tijuca. You can discover native birds, animals and exotic trees. There is a small waterfall there, called Taunay waterfall and a pink-and-purple chapel, called Mayrink. I have to be very careful in this forest so I won’t get lost.
I also intend to spend some time on the sandy beaches of Rio. I am especially eager to visit Ipanema Beach so I can sunbathe, enjoy seafood, drink milk from a coconut with a straw and play beach volleyball.
