"Discover the world’s most active volcanoes and the world’s tallest sea mountain." is definitely not on the Garden Island of Kauai which is blessed with lots of rain and features green tropical scenery. I love the stretches of empty white sand beaches but be prepared for downpours. The highest volcanoes are extinct Mauna Kea (White Mountain) and still active Mauna Loa (Flat Mountain)are on the Big Island of Hawaii. Hawaii visitors also get attracted by Hawaii's Volcanoes National Park where they can find one of the only live volcanoes in the world, Kilauea, which can be watched safely on foot or by helicopter. Don't forget the biggest Hawaii event the Hawaii Ironman Triathlon World Championship, which is also on the Big Island: Kona, in October each year. So on a visit to the Big Island, Hawaii visitors can combine adventure with a beach vacation on the sunny Kona Kohala Coast.
