Top 5 Places To Visit In China: Part 1Are you planning to visit China and don’t know which places should be included in your travel plan? The right choice of travel destinations is the most important factor for your trip to be successful. I made my own list of top five places in China, and this can be a solution to that problem.

1. The first place worth a visit is unequivocally Beijing — the capital city of China, and particularly part of  the Great Wall located in this area. This greatest structure, built during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) by common laborers, is about 5,500 miles long. Starting from Hushan and ending at Jiayuguan Pass, the Great Wall stretches along numerous cities, 71 passes and countless towers. Originally it was built to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Republic during the Great Chinese Revolution (1966-1976). Nowadays it is the number one tourism site in China.

However, to get the most from your time in Beijing means to pay a visit to other travel destinations like the Forbidden City, which houses the Palace Museum, Temple of Heaven, constructed for imperial ceremonies, Summer Palace, where the largest royal park is situated, Beijing Zoo, where some of  the world’s  rare, wild animals, like the Giant Panda and Golden Monkey, can be found.

Top 5 Places To Visit In China: Part 12. The Terracotta Army museum lies 1.5km east of the Mausoleum to Emperor Qin Shi Huang. It was built to represent the emperor’s ability to rule over unified China. Actually he was the first emperor of the united Chinese republic. By the way, the construction of the Great Wall started under his rule.

The terracotta figures (warriors, horses, chariots, officials, acrobats, strongmen, musicians) were discovered in 1974 in Xian. And now people from all over the world visit Xian intending to admire this stone and bronze model of army. Despite of the fact that the terracotta army consists around 8,000 figures, each figure differs in facial expression, hairstyle and clothing from the others.

Your sightseeing travel through China would be incomplete without a visit to Terracotta Army museum, although there are too many sights and interesting places to see.

In my next post about Chinese attractions you’ll read about the Bund, Yangtze river and Shangri-La.
