I might be late in sharing this, but like every travel enthusiast, I’ve made my bucket list for 2018, too.
My plan for this year is to visit some unconventional destinations. I want to explore places not many people visit.
Who hasn’t heard of this historic city? I’ve grown up listening to brave stories of the Jhansi ki Rani. And visiting this place has been on my bucket list for the longest time. This year, I’m finally planning a trip here.
You can read more about Jhansi ki Rani and this historic city on Jhansi’s Wikipedia page.
Ghaziabad is a state in UP. Since it is so close to UP, it is known as the ‘Gateway of UP.’ Since I keep traveling to Delhi so often, this place is on my bucket list for this year.
Did you know that in 1940, the first modern industry appeared in Ghaziabad? The city has seen immense industrial growth and that is what fascinates me.
Hubli is in Karnataka and is famous for all the beautiful temples in the city. Hubli is also the secong largest city in Karnataka.
I’ve been to Karnataka a few times, but I’ve never visited this city. This year, I’ve made up my mind to visit Hubli for sure.
In the British Era, Jalandhar was known as Jullundur.
Jalandhar is an ancient city situated in Punjab. It is known to be one of the oldest inhabited city in Punjab. This is one of the most important reasons why I want to visit this city.
You can read more about living in this city in this city resource for Jalandhar.
I’ve heard so much about this city. Did you know that the world’s largest Mango market is in Vijayawada? I love mangoes VERY much and that is one of the major reasons I want to visit this city. I’ve heard that there are around 15,000 tonnes of mangoes available for sale in this market. Isn’t that totally amazing?
When I first discussed this list with my friends, they told me I’d be disappointed because there isn’t much to see at some of these places. But I firmly believe, there is always something new to discover; especially in places not too many people travel to.
